# SEAT S.A. SEAT S.A. (Sociedad Española de Automóviles de Turismo) is a Spanish automotive manufacturer headquartered in Martorell, near Barcelona. Founded on May 9, 1950, the company initially produced licensed models from FIAT and Volkswagen before becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary of Volkswagen AG in 1986.
