# George Clooney ## Early Life George Timothy Clooney was born on May 6, 1961, in Lexington, Kentucky. His father, Nicholas Joseph "Nick" Clooney, was a television journalist and political candidate, and his mother, Nina Bruce, was a beauty queen and city council member. Clooney attended Augusta High School and St. Michael's School. He initially aspired to be a baseball player and tried out for the Cincinnati Reds at age 16.
